Historic Route 66 (Central Avenue) runs through the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Unfortunately, the iconic neon signs are often in disrepair because the historic motels are either demolished, derelict, or decrepit. Even so, on a good day, the remaining signs still have the power to invoke the era of the classic road trip.
